We are thrilled to announce that Luminis Health Gilchrist Lifecare Institute – our one-year-old joint venture with regional healthcare provider Luminis – will begin to offer elder care and hospice care in Prince George’s County, Maryland’s second most populous subdivision with nearly one million residents.
Luminis Health Gilchrist Lifecare Institute Expands Into Prince George’s County
We are thrilled to announce that Luminis Health Gilchrist Lifecare Institute – our one-year-old joint venture with regional healthcare provider Luminis – will begin to offer elder care and hospice care in Prince George’s County, Maryland’s second most populous subdivision with nearly one million residents.
In July 2022, Gilchrist and Luminis formed the Institute to enhance geriatric care services in Anne Arundel County, which is where Luminis is based. The original plan called for eventual expansion into neighboring Prince George’s. And one year later, that’s exactly what the Institute is doing through Luminis Health Doctors Community Medical Center, thanks to the talent and tireless efforts of our team.
The Luminis Health Gilchrist Lifecare Institute provides an integrative continuum of care for the elderly across multiple settings, including hospitals, doctors’ offices, long-term care facilities and at home. Services include: geriatric supportive care at home; geriatric supportive care in residential communities; and hospice care.
