Don’t Miss Gilchrist’s Spring Jazz Brunch
The 6th Annual Spring Jazz Brunch benefitting The William L. and Victorine Q. Adams Gilchrist Center Baltimore will be held on Sunday, June 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event will be held in person for the first time since 2019, at a new venue—The Accelerator Space—located at 417 Benninghaus Road in Baltimore. Funds raised from the event will support Gilchrist’s work in Baltimore City.
Many of Gilchrist Center Baltimore’s patients, both children and adults, are the city’s underserved. Because Gilchrist accepts anyone needing hospice care regardless of their ability to pay, our patients live out their final days with the dignity and comfort that everyone deserves.
In the fall of 2021, we opened our brand-new inpatient center to help deliver this care in a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility. Named for William L. and Victorine Q. Adams, two African-American pillars of the local community, the center is located at the former home of Memorial Stadium on East 33rd Street.
The new Gilchrist Center Baltimore carries on its 30-year legacy of hospice care for those most in need. The opening of this building and the uncompensated care provided there are made possible solely through community philanthropic support.
You can be a part of Gilchrist’s mission to provide compassionate end-of-life care to those most in need by supporting the Spring Jazz Brunch. Guests will enjoy a live performance by acclaimed jazz pianist and composer Lafayette Gilchrist. A local Baltimorean, Gilchrist’s (no relation!) music draws on the span of jazz history along with inspiration from hip-hop, funk, and go-go sound.
Sponsors and ticket holders will also feast on a delicious brunch while hearing updates about the work of the William L. and Victorine Q. Adams Gilchrist Center Baltimore.
