5th Annual Spring Jazz Brunch to Benefit Gilchrist Center Baltimore
Please join us for the 5th Annual Spring Jazz Brunch to benefit Gilchrist Center Baltimore. It seems impossible that a year has passed since we made the decision to transition the 2020 event to an online experience in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the option to postpone or cancel, we realized how necessary the monies raised would be to Gilchrist during this unprecedented health crisis. So, the show went on, as they say. No one thought we’d have to make the same decision again a year later, but here we are, and Gilchrist’s services are needed now more than ever.
You can be a part of the mission to provide compassionate, end-of-life care to those most in need in Baltimore by participating in the 5th Annual Spring Jazz Brunch. Due to restrictions still in place, this year’s event will once again be held virtually, on Sunday, June 13, 2021.
Many of Gilchrist Center Baltimore’s patients, both children and adults, are the city’s underserved. Gilchrist turns no one away, regardless of their ability to pay. Because Gilchrist accepts anyone needing hospice care without discrimination, patients live out their final days with the dignity and comfort that everyone deserves. This uncompensated care is made possible through community philanthropic support.
You don’t want to miss our featured performer, acclaimed Jazz pianist and composer Lafayette Gilchrist, as well as a special performance by Baltimore Symphony Orchestra OrchKids. The event will also include a sneak peek of Gilchrist Center Baltimore’s brand-new building, located at Stadium Place, the former site of Memorial Stadium. We are grateful for the leadership of event chairs Cathy McClelland and Neal Friedlander, MD and to all of the event sponsors.
This virtual event is FREE, but registration is required. Tickets that include a delicious brunch delivery by The Classic Catering People as well as sponsorships are also available. Please visit www.gilchristcares.org/jazzbrunch for more information.
